No Stone Left Unturned cover

English

The cover of the new Rosqo album is graced by a rusty vehicle, probably the exact opposite of what you’ll find the band to be really like. Boys and girls, we are talking here about the true essence of rock music as it’s meant to be played in 2008. Intelligent, nostalgic, cultivated yet always on the lookout for a childish joke or a cheerful drink. The kids from Rosqo have been exploring the long road to musical fulfilment for quite a few years now, and with “No Stone Left Unturned”, they are getting very close to that dangerous place where Rock (call him Post, call it Pop, whatever, he doesn’t care) rears his weary head in search of young souls to sustain his battered old corpse.

The album was recorded in Bristol, at Toybox studio with Ali Chant, whose credentials with Gravenhurst, the Kills, PJ Harvey and Magicrays had aroused our four heroes to no end. They spent two weeks in their own private Abbey Road with the man who became their George Martin and their Steve Albini rolled into one. He came up with a hundred hat full of tricks and gave the Swiss heroes a tough but extremely fun time, pushing them, hounding for that last little bit of talent even they didn’t know existed down there in their puny little fingers. You’ll find daring sonic experimentations, massive vocal harmonies and quite a bit of pretty astonishing guitar work. No stone left unturned indeed…

The album will come crashing out early 2008 and will set the pace for the year to come, atmospheric, nostalgic, and at the same time wild and ecstatic, a mixture of extremely diverse influences, ranging from Mono to Foo Fighters, from Led Zeppelin to Seam, the rough and the cute, the beauty and the best of the beast, boys and girls, Gentlemen Records is very proud to bring you Rosqo, album number two.
